“Because I feel Washington State should be leading the Nation in promoting a Spiritual Civilization based on holistic medicine, alternative energy, affordable housing, relevant education, a dynamic economy, bio-diversity, world development and meaningful access to justice, I respectfully propose my “FUNDAMENTAL FREEDOMS” PLAN OF ACTION.” (Christian Pierre Joubert, gubernatorial candidate, Washington State’s Voters Pamphlet, primary election, August 19th, 2008).

BOOK COVER
Because there were 16,646 voter to embrace the campaign committee's FFAP (Fundamental Freedoms Action Plan) via the August 19th, 2008 Washington State gubernatorial candidacy of Christian Pierre Joubert, we have some leverage (and a duty) to influence the next Washington State's and federal governmental agendas so that the concerned Executives may better contribute in honoring our Constitutions and in serving Washingtonians’ and Americans’ basic needs, many of which are less and less met for more and more Americans. Out of the ten governor candidates who ran in the primary elections of August 19th 2008 in Washington State, Christian Joubert, naturopath and former law professor and organic agriculture French-descent peasant, emerged as the “Third Alternative Political Force”, getting nearly twice as many votes as the Greens and other parties. In this book, Christian Pierre Joubert reviews 178 measures he proposed to Washingtonians during the primary elections, all of which would meaningfully contribute in the renewal of the our broken Republic. Since many of these measures are trans-frontier, they are also relevant for the Nation.
WHAT THE PRESS SAID OF CHRISTIAN'S CAMPAIGN
"The best speaker of the evening - judging from audience reactions - was Christian Pierre Joubert who is running for Governor. His issues were health and prosperity but it was how he spoke to us that got us with him in just two minutes. Then he handled a couple snarky questions from a couple of well known political junkies who like to bait candidates. He absolutely dissed them. "Are you liberal or conservative?" "Well, I am both at different occasions. I have a left brain and a right brain and I like to use them both." Watch for this guy. You will enjoy listening to him and he says things that make sense". NORTHWEST CITIZEN. Bill Mize forum starts the season" by John Servais, (July 23, 2008)
"Candidate speaks out on raw vegan chocolate mousse Issue....Democratic gubernatorial candidate Christian Pierre Joubert favors “the distribution of ‘superfoods’ (including but not limited to amazing dopamine-producing raw vegan chocolate mousses).” That sounds like a kitchen table issue. Do House Democrats know about this? (...)."Chris Mulick's Olympia Dispatch, by Chris Mulick, Jul. 16, 2008
" Christian Joubert, of Edmonds, would make public health and holistic healing his top priority. The Democrat says on his Web site that "chronic diseases including chronic stress can be cut down by at least half in four years" under his proposed policies". SEATTLE TIMES by staff reporter Andrew Garber, July 27, 2008 |

WHO IS THE FREEDOM ACTION COMMITTEE’S FOUNDER: CHRISTIAN PIERRE JOUBERT ? AND WHAT IS HIS PLATFORM ?
GUBERNATORIAL CANDIDATE CHRISTIAN PIERRE JOUBERT is a naturopath, former organic agriculture peasant and former professor of law in Europe and Gonzaga Law. (For more, please see his biography on the website). In the voter’s pamphlet, he succinctly declared his platform.
“Because I feel Washington State should be leading the Nation in promoting a Spiritual Civilization based on holistic medicine, alternative energy, affordable housing, relevant education, a dynamic economy, bio-diversity, world development and meaningful access to justice, I respectfully propose my “FUNDAMENTAL FREEDOMS” PLAN OF ACTION.” (Christian Pierre Joubert, Washington State’s Voters Pamphlet, primary election, August 19th, 2008). EXHIBIT A.
WHO MAKES UP THE “FREEDOM ACTION COMMITTEE “ ?
1. Proponents for the edification of a holistic and spiritual civilization, from Dalai Lama-Buddhist like supporters to Christian believers, Taoist poets, minorities, constitutionalists, artists and human rights activists.
2. Proponents of complementary and alternative medicine, of holistic health, of integrative oncology, of organic agriculture, clean renewable energies, appropriate technologies, affordable housing and eco communities.
3. Proponents of a plant based diet and healthy lifestyle, from vegans to wholesome, fresh and organic based nutrition advocates, including, but not limited to the raw vegan chocolate mousse fans, who realize that politics begins in one's kitchen plate, under one's palate. And that health ends in abuse and environmental assaults.
4. Proponents of a new legal structure, closer to the People, more in harmony with the Common Good, in unison with our Constitutions.
5. Proponents of more art, Reason and ethics in our Society.
WHAT IS JOUBERT AND HIS FREEDOM ACTION COMMITTEE’S POLITICAL “WEIGHT” ? THE THIRD GUBERNATORIAL ALTERNATIVE POLITICAL FORCE IN THE STATE
On the 19th of August 2008, Joubert’s fundamental freedoms platform received 16,646 votes, (EXHIBIT B) thanks to which Joubert became ipso facto the third gubernatorial alternative political force in the State. Out of the ten governor candidates, Joubert ranked fourth, after the present Governor (first rank), the G.O.P candidate (rank two) and the Republican candidate (third rank). But because he received twice as many votes as the other parties, including but not limited to the Greens, and because the G.O.P and the Republicans are the same, it is reasonable to say that he is now the third alternative political force in the State outnumbering the Greens by close to twice. Thus, thanks to this massive support, a significant percentage of the People's Voice expressed an educated and enlightened opinion (verdict) on the social necessity to codify into law the Freedom Action Committee’s fundamental freedoms. Social political votes are constitutive of customary normative formation. The Media therefore should not ignore the People’s Will.

IN A NUTSHELL, WHAT IS JOUBERT’S MESSAGE ?
LIBERTÉ.
WHICH MEANS ?
RIGHTS TO AND FREEDOM FROM.
WHAT IS THE CORE OF THE FUNDAMENTAL FREEDOMS PACKAGE HE IS ADVOCATING ?
1. FREEDOM FROM THE CHAINS OF CHRONIC DISEASES & UN-NECESSARY SUFFERING. RIGHT TO EQUAL ACCESS TO HOLISTIC HEALTH.
" Health is a state of complete physical, mental and social well-being and not merely the absence of disease or infirmity ” (The World Health Organization’s Constitution).
"The popularity of complementary and alternative medicine (CAM) is considerable: the one year prevalence of CAM usage is 42 percent in the United States” (Eisenberg David et al, Trends in alternative medicine use in the United States. JAMA 1998:280:1569-75),
2. FREEDOM FROM JUDICIAL OPPRESSION AND NO MEANINGFUL ACCESS TO JUSTICE. RIGHT TO EQUAL ACCESS TO THE CIVIL COURTS FOR MODEST INCOME PARTIES.
"A statewide report, however, showed 80 percent of low-income individuals in Washington facing a critical legal need do so without legal assistance each year."Stanley A. Bastian, President WSBA (December 7th, 2007)
"We have recognized that the promise of equal justice for all would be an empty phrase for the poor, if the ability to obtain judicial relief were made to turn on the length of a person's purse. It is true that these cases have dealt with criminal proceedings. But the Equal Protection Clause of the Fourteenth Amendment is not limited to criminal prosecutions. Its protections extend as well to civil matters". 351 US 12, 76 S.Ct. 585, 100 L.Ed. 891 (1956). (Opinion written by Supreme Court Justices Black and Renquist).
3. FREEDOM FROM THE CHAINS OF IGNORANCE: RIGHT TO EQUAL ACCESS TO RELEVANT EDUCATION.
“The United States ranks 25 of the 30 of the major Democracies in the world”. Newsweek, July 17, 2008
“Knowledge is in every country the surest basis of public happiness" George Washington (1796).
