"The lie tastes sweet in the beginning,
but bitter in the end, the truth tastes
bitter in the beginning and sweet in
the end" - Buddha
From a review of the facts, it would appear that the present executive branch has willingly allowed oil prices to quatruple, (thus precipitating very stressful food hikes for the modest-income folks), has willingly polarized and empoverished American Society while having undermined American prestige and interests abroad.
The un-declared war in Iraq costs over three trillion dollars and over one million lives from all sides while serving no American or international interests except those of the oil, tobacco and weapons barons. By ousting the Sunni anti-Shia bulwark from Iraq in Mesopotamia, Islamic Shia anti-american fanaticism in Iran got stronger. And to make matters worse, the evidence suggests that Teheran is concentrating anti American vendetta and on weapons of massive destruction while no one found any in Iraq.
What could have been done with a million men and trillions of dollars ? But was not.
The Bush Government could have contributed in the United Nation's military coalition to better secure international security world-wide for much less finances that what the Iraqi wars have cost us. But did not.
The Bush Government could have mobilized the Military in the International Community to build roads and bridges where needed. But did not.
The Bush Government could have irrigated deserts and organic gardens and constructed eco-construction shelters in the world, thus converting potential Third World terrorists into American civil liberties advocates. But did not.
The Bush Government could have launched anti-diseases, drinkable water and eco-development schemes in the under and mis-developed world thereby contributing in reducing the Unicef statistics of 40,000 children dieing each day (day, not week) from causes which are "avoidable". But did not.
Instead of allowing agri-business to "steal" the poor man's staple food (manioc in Thailand, black beans in Latin America, soya in Africa) in order to fatten American beef, (that very fat that kills hundreds of thousands of American each year), the Bush government could have guided agri-business toward world development, prosperity, a plant based nutrition system and health. But did not.
Instead of accepting big tobacco campaign donations, The Bush government could have prosecuted industrial tobacco pushers who incite Third World vulnerable peasants to smoke for free and once hooked, request on the poor of the Earth hefty prices, thereby contritubing in the painful death of over 5,000,000 (five million) dead cigarette smokers in the world each year. But did not.
The Bush Government's public servants, instead of accepting hefty "big oil", campaign donations, could have met most of the US energy and housing needs via alternative energies and eco-housing. But did not.
The Bush Government's agents , instead of accepting large " big pharma" campaign donations, could have met most of American health needs via preventive & lifestyle medicine, alternative medicine and holistic health and universal health-care. But did not.
The Bush Government's politicians, instead of accepting huge campaign donations from the death industries (e.g., the processed chemical fast foods and weapons industries) and large corporate law firms, could have invested in accessible (i.e., affordable and free for the modest-income Americans) higher education, accessible civil justice for all and accessible good tasty healthy foods that would have enchanted our taste-buds and bewildered our longevity genes, thus significantly reducing the scourge of American criminality and chronic fatigue, chronic stress and chronic obesity. But did not.
The Bush tax cuts has given those who earn over $1 million dollars a tax cut nearly 160 times greater than that received by middle-income Americans. At the same time, this administration has refused to tackle health care, education and housing in a manner that benefits the middle class while promising to cut red tape and ensuring greater employment opportunities for the low and mid income class. But did not.
The Bush government, instead of fully investigating 9.11, instead of allowing Congress to legislate, willingly, with his Federal agencies, bypassed Congress of numerous counts - from money matters, to war, drugs and justice issues.
Instead of requiring the Federal Reserve Bank system to redirect monetary issues where they belong (With Congress and the US Treasury), they turned over the dollar system to a monetary exchange system that is fraught with danger and unconstitutionality.
When the three governmental branches are not equal and balanced, the forces of Tyranny surface.
In the same way that delinquent cancer cells can "re-differentiate" back into the community of healthy and living cells with life-style education, non-invasive and gentle approaches, in the same way, it is technically possible to "re-differentiate" back into the community of healthy, responsible and civic citizens those who have deviated from the Constitution and the law.
